Our founder had the health of his own staff in mind when he founded our company, after careful research he came to the studied conclusion filtered water systems were better for all.  Better for the health of his workforce, better for his company’s balance sheet and given the high cost of petroleum (yes it was a concern even back then!) and global warming - better for the environment.

ALAN THORNTON our founder is an entrepreneur and business owner who has successfully owned and operated companies on both sides of the Atlantic.  Alan was born and raised in Ireland and chose to make his home in Canada.

An acknowledged filtered water systems expert, he has specific experience and thorough knowledge of both the filtering processes and the needs and expectations of business owners and senior managers.  He founded AQUARIAN to produce an ethical and cost effective alternative to "bottled water coolers".
